Somehow, this poorly paid cook obtained enough money to purchase a home that she turned into Miss Grul's Boarding House. It would have been better named as The House of Horror. Many gruesome acts were committed here. Some were committed driven by pure greed and envy. Many were committed by commands from a Dark Energy. Miss Grul was obsessed with the Salems family, particularly Mr. Salem. This delusional woman fell prey to the madness and evil that permeated Salems Marsh. One day Miss Grul found something in the marshes. She brought it back to the Boarding House and nurtured it like her own. That creature would soon betray her as well.
