Morpheus the Mutant MORPHEUS THE MUTANT Morpheus - the god of dreams. That description is lost on this soul. He is a version of a Strongman of the carnival. Although Morpheus is strong of body, he's weak of mind. He was born in this dark realm. Morpheus has no mother or father, he was created by nightmare visions. This is why he is so hideously twisted and deformed. The girl uses him to control and frighten the others to keep all in line and under her control. He is without a doubt the most tormented of all the souls trapped here. Unlike the others, he has never seen the light of day or felt the warm sun and cool winds on his body. He spends his time clawing at the tunnel walls, catching and eating the rats that overrun this place. The question of whether or not Morpheus ever had a soul to surrender is a mystery.
