Mama MAMA Even Nightmares are not safe from the Night Hag. She collects them all. The ones she cannot turn dark and malicious she will feed to the others. Mama simply did not choose to ever terrorize childrens dreams. She would simply watch over them at night. Mama could not avoid being collected by the Night Hag. She waited for an opportunity to escape. Mama slipped away from the Night Hag and found safety under the ground. Being such a large Nightmare hiding deep in the underground cave was her only option. There she provided safety for other non-malignant Nightmares and gave them refuge. They all just call her Mama. In the Dead of Night story she will give you a mission to find a lost Nightmare.
